Festival of Nations multicultural event, August 23-24

Coming to Tower Grove Park on Saturday August 23rd and Sunday August 24th is the International Institute's Festival of Nations!

This multicultural event brings together the many different ethnic groups that make up the diverse city of St. Louis and offers over 40 ethnic food booths, music, arts and crafts and much more!

The Voice! Tour comes to St. Louis on July 20, 2014

NBC's The Voice reality television singing competition comes to the St. Louis Peabody Opera House on July 20th at 7:30 PM.

The TV series is for aspiring singers age 15 and older who are selected from public auditions and then go on to compete for the grand prize of $100,000 and a record deal with Universal Music Group.

All American Red White and Blue Festival in Kirksville

Come to Kirksville Missouri for a 4th of July celebration that will be a fun time for all.  The annual All American Red White and Blue Festival begins on Thursday July 3rd with horse drawn carriage rides and a theater play.

Then get your running shoes on because early the next morning on July 4th, they kick off the day with a 5K Run / 1K Walk followed by a parade through downtown.

The Kirksville aquatic center opens up for Splash Bash and later in the afternoon will be a Apple Pie contest, sales and auction.  The Community Band will provide music at the courthouse lawn from 5-6 and then at dusk (about 9:30pm) Fireworks light up the sky!

It doesn't end there, get up the next morning and come down to the Downtown Cinema 8 parking lot for a Pancake Breakfast at the cost of $5 and then head on over to Elson Street for the Kirksville Kiwanis Farmers Market.

National Tom Sawyer Days in Hannibal, July 3-5, 2014

Come to Samuel Clemens (aka Mark Twain) boyhood hometown for a special festival that will give you a glimpse into the young life of this beloved author.

2014 Fair Saint Louis and Independence Day Celebration

Louis, National Park Service and the Fair Saint Louis Foundation welcome guests from around the globe to St. Louis for this annual celebration with live music, air shows and fireworks during the Fourth of July weekend.

This year will be an extra special year as the city of St. Louis celebrates it's 250th Birthday!  Some of this year's musical guests include Bonnie Raitt, The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, En Vogue and The Fray.

Cape Air Festival at Cape Girardeau Airport, May 17-18

Come to the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport on Saturday May 17th or Sunday May 18th to see performances by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team and Paul Stender's Indy Boys Jet Trucks just to mention a few.

Tickets are $12 for those 12+, $7 ages 7-11 and those 6 and under are free.

Bluesweek Festival in St. Louis, Memorial Day weekend

Mountain Music Spring Festival in Arcadia Valley, May 16-18 2014

The 2014 Spring Mountain Music Spring Festival will be May 16th - 18th at the Arcadia Valley Region & Black River Recreation Area.

Here you will find old time music and lots of it!  This is one of the region's best bluegrass festivals that also includes old time mountain and Americana music.

Come on out and bring your instruments if you play one and join in the fun of a family friendly weekend event that is FREE.

There will be lots to do for those wanting to shop at vendors, crafters and a miniature train ride for kids.

Annual centennial Beer Festival weekend event at Schniader Brewery

Special highlights of this weekend are the Thursday Brewmaster Dinner from 6-9pm.  Cost is $67.50 plus tax and you have to get your ticket early as this event sell out quickly.

Fruitland Missouri's Bootheel Bluegrass Festival, January 23-25 2014

Fruitland Missouri's Bootheel Bluegrass Festival is January 23-25 2014 with lots of great toe tappin' Bluegrass bands.

The festival begins on Thursday night at Bavarian Halle by Drury Inn with Gipson's, Janie Brown & Chestnut Gang and also The Lewis's.

Then come back Friday afternoon at 2pm for more music, fun and dinner provided by Dexter BBQ at 5pm.  Cost for dinner is $8 per person.
Musical acts include Open Range, Leevon DeCourley Band, Bull Harman & Bull's Eye just to mention a few.

Saturday is another full slate of concerts with Pickin Chicks, Missouri River Band and The Baker's.  Dinner buffet provided by Country Mart at 5pm.  Dinner costs $10 per person and is all you can eat Kettle Beef, Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Corn, Mac & Cheese and more!

Washington Mo celebrates 175th Anniversary through out 2014

Washington Mo celebrates 175th Anniversary in 2014 beginning with a celebration gala on February 22nd at 6:00pm over at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Closer to the summer months, organizers have plans for a parade and picnic on May 24th and a monument dedication on May 25th.

They will end the year with an antique vehicle display on October 5th.
