St. Louis 250th Birthday Bash Weekend, February 14-16 2014

St. Louis turns 250 years old in 2014 and according to records, it is unknown what date the city was officially founded on so the great people of St. Louis are throwing a 3 day Birthday Bash Weekend, February 14-16 2014.

There will be activities all through-out the year, but the weekend of February 14-16 will have events at the Missouri History Museum for the whole family celebrating the heritage of the city.

Art Hill will become 'Heart Hill' in a Valentine themed party with live music, fire dancers and a fireworks display.

A special performance by the St. Louis Ballet titled Love is in the Air will be 8pm on both February 14th and 15th only.

On Saturday the 15th at Laclede's Landing will have a historical reenactment program tracing the influence of various cultures that helped to shape St. Louis.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the Scottrade Center, December 23rd 2013 with performances of their modern day Dickens-like classic, The Lost Christmas Eve, at 3:00 PM and 7:30 PM.

2013 marks the bands 15 years of touring and it will be the final performance of 'The Lost Christmas Eve' multi-platinum rock opera show.

The show takes you on a journey to a rundown hotel, toy store, Blues bar and Gothic cathedral where you see the cast intertwined at Christmas Eve in New York City.

Christmas Country Church Tour holiday event on December 20 2013

Christmas Country Church Tour holiday event on Friday December 20th 2013 welcomes everyone to see country churches  in the Bollinger, Cape Girardeau and Perry County areas for a night a family fun and Christmas spirit.

Participating churches will be decorated for Christmas, have holiday music, refreshments and greeters at each church.  They can be toured on December 20th beginning at 3pm till the event ends at 9pm.

There is not ticket cost.  Free will donations are welcomed at individual churches.

St. Louis Cardinals are World Series bound for 2013

The St. Louis Cardinals are World Series bound for 2013 in a rematch of the famous 2004 World Series where the Boston Red Sox shut out the Cardinals in a 4-0 series.

This year is it revenge for the St Louis Cardinals or will Boston win it again.  Both teams have done very well this year and the hope is for a great matchup.

Washington Missouri kicks off the holiday season with their annual Holiday Parade of Lights on November 29th 2013 beginning at 6:00 PM.

The parade is a family friendly event and all ages are welcome.  After the parade the city will light the downtown Christmas tree and Santa will be available after the lighting in the Farmer's Market area for pictures.

2013 holiday Arts and Crafts festivals in Cape Girardeau Nov. 22-24

Come to Cape Girardeau November 22nd - 24th for the 18th Annual Crafts, Gifts and Collectibles Show at the Notre Dame High School for early 2013 holiday shopping.

Cost is $1 and proceeds from the event go toward the Notre Dame Performing & Visual Arts program, Soldier packages, Toys for Tots and Christmas for the Elderly.

Bluegrass America Showcase of Bands, October 10-13, 2013

This annual event now in it's 40th year has performers such as Kick Kimmel & Company, Copper Creek, Raydio Flyer and the Bluegrass Brigade.

All shows will be indoors, but you do need to bring a lawn chair.  The campground at the fairgrounds has new restrooms & showers and camping with electric hook up is $7.00 per night.

Mountain Music Bluegrass Festvial, October 18-20

Mountain Music Bluegrass Festival annual Fall event will be October 18th - 20th 2013 in the beautiful Arcadia Valley town of Ironton Missouri.

This years Fall festival falls on the same weekend as the Arcadia Valley Missouri Fall Festival and is a perfect chance to take in two festivals in one marque weekend while enjoying the Fall Foliage of the area.

At this years Bluegrass Festival there will be a Fiddle contest, parade with floats, the Chicken and Dumpling Dinner and a special commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War

People walking about the streets of Hannibal Missouri during the Folklife FestivalHannibal Missouri Arts Council 37th Annual Autumn Historic Folklife Festival will be held October 19th and 20th 2013 in historic downtown Hannibal.

Come and see the many wonderful works of art by artists and artisans, listen to street music, watch demonstrations by craftsmen, festival food including cider fresh from an apple press and a children's area.

St. Louis Rams 2013 NFL Season Home Game schedule

It is time to get Back to Football with the St. Louis Rams 2013 NFL Season Home Game schedule.  Their preseason home games include the Green Bay Packers on August 17th followed two weeks later by the 2013 Super Bowl Champions, Baltimore Ravens.

Then the Rams open their regular season on 'Kick Off Weekend' against the Arizona Cardinals on September 8th at 3:25 PM local time.

They will then host the Thursday night game on September 26th versus the 2013 AFC Champion San Francisco 49rs at 7:25 pm CDT.

The Jacksonville Jaguars come to town on October 6th with a game time of 12:00 pm CDT.

On October 28th, ESPN will be broadcasting their Monday Night Football game from the Edward Jones Dome as the Rams take on the Seattle Seahawks at 7:40 pm CDT.

November 3rd will see Coach Fishers former team the Tennessee Titans roll into St. Louis for a game time of 12:00 pm CST.

The Rams will host the Chicago Bears on November 24th with kick off at 12:00 pm CST.

The New Orleans Saints game will be December 15th at 12:00 CST and the final home game of the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be December 22nd, also at 12:00 pm CST.

St. Louis Moonlight Ramble, August 17th, Busch Stadium

Grab your bicycle and come to the St. Louis 50th Annual Moonlight Ramble, August 17th, 2013.  This event brings in thousands of riders each year that includes a leisurely bike ride down the streets of St. Louis, vendors, entertainment, a special commemorative shirt and an 'After the Ride' party with snacks and drinks.

Sign in at the event site begins at 9pm on August 17th and the race begins at the Busch Stadium Parking Lot C at 12:01am on August 18th and the after party being from 1am to 3am.

This event is for all ages, but riders under 16 years of age must be accompanied by and adult.

Cinema St. Louis announces first ever Children's Film Festival

Cinema St. Louis announces first ever International Children's Film Festival, SLIFF/Kids, presented by PNC Arts Alive beginning July 26th thru August 4th 2013.

During SLIFF/Kids, Cinema St. Louis with other presenting sponsors will be offering film programs, camps and workshops during the week and on the two weekends (July 26-28 and Aug. 2-4) of the festival a total of 14 kid themed films will be screened.

Host sites for this event include Webster University, St. Louis Public Library, Missouri History Museum, Washington University, Lindenwood University and the Wildey Theatre.

On August 3rd a special animation workshop will be presented at the Saint Louis Art Museum.  The SLIFF/Kids film programs and camps are FREE.  Participants wanting to attend the August 3rd animation workshop will be charged a modest fee.

Veiled Prophet Parade a St. Louis Missouri annual event now in it's 136th year will be on July 4th, 2013 beginning in the downtown streets of Washington and Fourth Street and makes its way south on Fourth Street to Market Street, heads west on Market concluding at St. Louis Union Station at Market and 20th Streets.

Sally Mountain Show 27th annual Bluegrass festival returns to the secluded woods of Sally Mountain Park in Queen City, Missouri beginning July 3rd thru 7th 2013.

Rhonda Vincent with her band The Rage headline the many wonderful music acts that perform here each year along with many workshops, meet and greets and Carolyn's Chicken Dinner served on Saturday night.

Camping is available and includes water, electric, restrooms, showers, dump station and trash pickup.  Cost for a 4 day pass is a paltry $50, children 12 and under are Free.  Prices per day are $15 for Wednesday thru Friday, $20 for Saturday and Sunday is Free.

Come to the northern central part of Missouri this July for a family fun time while enjoying great Bluegrass music.

74th Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid

2013 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, May 23 thru 2674th Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid begins on Thursday May 23rd thru Sunday May 26th 2013 at the esteemed Bellerive Country Club.

Roger Chapman is last years champion of the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid and is looking to defend his title.

This year, the Bellerive Country Club will make local sports history when it hosts this senior golf event as they become only the third club to host all four of golf's rotating majors.

Come to see a 70 foot dancing dragon and lion dancers kick off this annual springtime celebration that includes a parade, martial arts, painting and authentic cuisine.

Special Garden tours will be available and focus on the symbolism of many plant species throughout the garden.

Old Mill at Inn at Hermannhof
The Inn at Hermannhof hosted the annual spring meeting on March 18th for Bed and Breakfast Inns of Missouri for those Innkeepers that have inns located in the Central or Eastern regions.

Innkeepers spent time early networking with others and then settled in for a business meeting, lunch and an afternoon session to learn more about BBIM’s inspection process and iPhones.

BBIM members are 'Inspected and Approved' to receive membership into the association and receive many benefits from the networking with other innkeepers.
