Kings Ball in Historical Ste Genevieve, February 2 2013

Come for the King's Ball in Historical Ste. Genevieve, Missouri on February 2nd 2013 for a fun filled time of a bygone era at this event which has been held for over 250 years.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students & children. There will be a Cash Bar and for groups tables of 8 or 10 may be reserved.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in French Colonial attire, although it is not required, and come enjoy the music of the "Cash Rebates" for traditional music and dance.

Missouri Botanical Garden Holiday Flower and Train Show

The Missouri Botanical Garden Holiday Flower and Train Show, the Gardenland Express, is now on at the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis.

This years display celebrates "Merry Botanical Traditions" and features lovely plants of the holiday season.  This year also features much of the silk used in the famed Lantern Festival which was held earlier this summer at the Gardens which have been re-fashioned into poinsettia's, holly and Christmas Cactus just to mention a few.

This event which has been running since November 21st continues through January 1st 2013 and is closed on Christmas Day only.  Cost is $5 per person for ages 3 and up.  Garden Members are Free.

36th Annual Autumn Historic Folklife Festival in Hannibal

Come out on October 20th and 21st and be a part of the 36th Annual Autumn Historic Folklife Festival presented by the Hannibal Arts Council in Hannibal Missouri.

This Folklife festival features artists, artisans, and craftsmen demonstrating and selling historic crafts, traditional arts, fine arts and crafts, street musicians playing traditional tunes.  There is food which is cooked on wood stoves, cider fresh from the apple press, a children’s area and a warm atmosphere for everyone.

The 1800's-themed festival has been voted Favorite Festival in the area, consistently draws thousands of visitors from the Midwest region, and hosts over 100 exhibitors.  It's a great time to be in Hannibal when the Historic Folklife Festival is in full swing.

The winner of five Grammy Awards and a two-time Country Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year, Mary Chapin Carpenter makes her Sheldon debut, performing hits such as "He Thinks He'll Keep Her," "Down at the Twist and Shout" and "Passionate Kisses" as well as music from her soon to be released album, Ashes and Roses."

St Louis Rams 2012 season home opener against Redskins

The St Louis Rams 2012 season home opener against the Washington Redskins inside the Edward Jones Dome will be Sunday September 16, 2012.

Doors open 1-1/2 hours before the 3:05pm kick off.

Come and watch Sam Bradford, Steven Jackson and Coach Jeff Fisher with the rest of the St. Louis Rams as they begin their quest for a post-season and the Super Bowl.

Cultural Festivals 2012 Saint Louis Art Fair, Sept 7-9 2012

Come for the Cultural Festival's 2012 Saint Louis Art Fair on September 7th, 8th and 9th 2012 for this annual event now in its 19th season.

Visual artists from across the nation exhibit an unprecedented selection of the highest quality, original works of art along with three stages of entertainment, educational hands-on activities for children, culinary treats from St. Louis' finest restaurants and much more.

Big Muddy Blues Festival, St Louis, September 1st and 2nd.

Big Muddy Blues Festival 17th Annual event in the Historic Laclede's Landing entertainment district of St Louis returns on September 1st and 2nd in one of the country's best blues music festivals.

The Big Muddy Blues Festival showcases over 30 Blue & Blues-related bands performing on three outdoor stages with the festivals main stage headlining performances by Joe Louis Walker and Dr. John.

This event runs Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 11pm both days and tickets range from $25-$85 per day.

Come to this years Sally Mountain Show in Queen City, Missouri July 4-8, 2012.  This Bluegrass festival now in its 26th year continues to be a marque event in Northern Missouri just northeast of Kirksville.

Started by Johnny & Caroline Vincent, daughter Rhonda Vincent & her band The Rage in addition to son Darrin Vincent with Jamie Dailey are a few of the many wonderful headliners.

Fox Theatre 2012-2013 US Bank Broadway Seaon

Fox Theatre 2012-2013 US Bank Broadway Season for this year is going to be spectacular.  First of the many fine Tony Award-Winning hits is The Lion King opening August 15 followed up with Les Miserables opening October 16.

It doesn't end there though, this season will also include the Blue Man Group, Wicked, War Horse and Anything Goes.

Eastern region inaugural post, Bed and Breakfast Inns of MO

Hello and welcome to the Eastern Missouri & St. Louis region inaugural blog post by Bed and Breakfast Inns of Missouri.

This blog will be dedicated to the area events & activities as well as happenings at B&B’s in Missouri's Northeastern region, St. Louis region and Southeast region of the state.  It includes towns along the Mississippi River trail such as Cape Girardeau, Ste. Genevieve, St. Louis, Hannibal as well as towns inland like Kirksville, St. Charles, Washington and the Arcadia Valley just to mention a few.
